"My mother's keeper," in chains she's bound,
In the darkness of captivity, she's found.
With each passing day, my heart does ache,
To rescue her from this cruel mistake.
Through bars of steel, her cries do pierce,
But freedom's song, it seems to disperse.
With each futile attempt, my hope does wane,
As I watch her suffer, in silent pain.
For in her eyes, I see the plea,
To set her free, to let her be.
But some wishes never come to pass,
As I watch her fade, like shadows in glass.
