A week ago I was craving for Kosai(akara) made by experts, so I went to a popular Kosai stand to buy some.
A girl of about eight (8) came shortly after, while we were waiting to be served, a man who stood beside her said;
Man: My wife, how are you?
She: I am not your wife.
Man: But you are.
She: (responding vehemently) I am not your wife and I will never be.
Man: Shocked but couldn't say a word.
I almost jumped with joy, her response was everything, at that moment I wished I could see her parents to applaud them.
They are doing a good job raising her, she wasn't scared to speak her mind in front of adults.
She didn't care he was huge and tall, she said her truth in confidence.
It was sweet to watch. š
Oh! I almost forgot the kosai was spicy and delicious...just like the reply of the girl. š
To all parents doing a good job kudos to you, I am proud of you all.
To those who do not have a clue, please learn ooh.
To the men who like calling young girls "My wife", why do you do that?
I have spoken with some and they insist they meant no harm.
I had to educate them with these points;
š Most of you are already married, it doesn't make sense calling a girl " my wife" Even if you were single, you are still wrong.
š You are a pervert. Calling a girl your wife has a deep meaning, married couples are intimate.
You want to do all the things you do to your wife to her?
You can see for yourself, it doesnt make sense calling a girl your wife?
š You are torturing girls by saying those words.
You make them feel unsafe about their future, the last thing on their minds is "marriage" especially to you.
š Being family friends is not an excuse, she should be like a daughter to you.
Would you want to marry your daughter?
š You are not respecting boundaries when you say those words.
š You are sexualizing her, you have no right doing that.
So stop it already, it's not a joke and its very annoying to hear those words.
To parents who allow men tell their daughters such, "why do you"?
You think it's a joke too, that they mean no harm.
You have a lot to learn, protecting your children is one of your responsibilities.
If you never thought it was wrong, I really hope you have learned a thing or two with the points I made.
Will be happy to answer any question, you may have.
