Undoubtedly the most recognizable and distinct runway makeup look in who knows how long, Pat McGrath's artistry in crafting the Maison Margiela Couture Spring/Summer 2024 glam has inspired makeup lovers all over the internet.
Particularly notable for its doll-like and glass skin appearance, the makeup look and its impact is still circulating weeks after it debuted in late January. The legendary and longtime MUA, McGrath, later explained on Instagram how she executed the runway models' porcelain doll glam. She first prepped the skin with her brand's Divine Skin Rose 001TM The Essence. Then, she went in with the Sublime Perfection Foundation and her Divine Blush: Legendary Glow Colour Balm.
McGrath sprayed a unique concoction of face masks and distilled water onto the skin with an airbrush, then applied a layer of Tilt Makeup's Skin Illustrator Clear Gloss.
Nearly all the makeup lovers below blocked out their brows, applied extravagant amounts of blush, and let their creativity run wild.
Below, peep the best makeup look recreations online of the McGrath X Margiela runway look.
1. Zaynna Beckford
Inspired by McGrath's direction and "old-school dancehall" beauty looks, Zaynna absolutely bodied her vibrant interpretation of the Margiela runway look. The editorialized usage of beauty supply store bamboo earrings as a more versatile accessory is absolutely everything!
2. Dèja Zhane
Dèja went all out for her look -- with arguably the most colorful recreation that graced many TikTok For You Pages. Her gradient blush included yellow, purple and hues of pink. She used lime green, purple, blue, and a warm-toned silver shade on the eyes, while adding more blue on her bottom lash line with eyeliner. She tied the look together with accentuated doll-like lips, highlighter, and, of course, the glass skin effect.

3. Tenisha Billington
It's quite possible that Tenisha gave us one of the more "everyday wearable" versions of the now-infamous McGrath X Margiela look. Besides airbrushing on the glass skin effect, her purple, gold, and peach accented glam is great inspo for a day-to-night makeup look.
4. @MakeupByChelseaX
This blush-heavy makeup beat was a unique variation of McGrath's original look. Chelsea, who's known for her love of blush, heavily warmed up the runway look with pink on her temples, cheeks, lips, and décolletage.
5. Vanessa Gyimah
The vampy and sultry take on the Margiela look clearly pulled inspiration from some of the darker hues rocked by several of the show's models. Vanessa did dark shadow around a warm-toned shimmer on the center of her eyes. She complimented the halo eye with equally warm blush and glossy, edgy lips.
