For the latest edition of Get Ready With Me, our recently launched fashion and beauty series that follows emerging creatives across Africa, we head to Nairobi, Kenya. Here, fashion entrepreneur Luca, shares her style secrets with us.
A burgeoning fashion entrepreneur in the Nairobi fashion scene, Luca ventured into the industry when she realised her lack of interest in following a traditional career path. This pushed her to launch her vintage clothing store where she curates and sells a selection of eccentric unbranded pieces that range from minibags, printed silk shirts, and corduroy pants.
On Her Fashion Journey:
“I wanted to do something that’s fun with my life, clothes are really fun and people are fun. Style is my passion and it's also a way for me to connect with people and help them [develop their fashion sense].”
On Her Style Inspiration :
“My inspiration is Rihanna because she’s experimental with her style. You cannot box her [look].”
On Her Goals For The Future:
I would like to break out of Kenya [and grow my brand internationally].
