High technologies like robotics and artificial intelligence shows that mankind is moving towards perfection. But to what extent ? Will this move be hazardous or advantageous to humanity ?
We as humans are not perfect, nobody is perfect. We all have strengths and weaknesses, we make mistakes both voluntarily and involuntarily, hence, the need for artificial intelligence and robots.
Robots essence of existence is to assist humans in different ways, they handle tedious jobs and tasks too challenging for humans. They neither get tired nor fatigued which makes them productive and efficient. While artificial intelligence essence of existence is its high and enhanced level of reasoning and perception. It improves decision making and efficiency.
With all of these, it seems the future will be great and stress free. With all of these, humans will live better than ever, but there are cons.
Families, jobs, individuals, schools (education), the society and the world at large will be greatly affected. Imagine ten years from now, what do you see ?
According to Yuval Noah Hariri "AI might destroy our civilization". The quality this truth outweighs every other rational opinion on this matter as far as high technology increases.
People will loose their jobs, they will be unable to utilize their skills. Families will loose their love and bond. Schools will loose geniuses and have students who rely artificial intelligence for knowledge. The society will depend on these advanced technologies for their survival.
The only way these can be prevented and humans thrive amidst robots, artificial intelligence, all and sundry is if there is a balance; if a line is drawn to equalize the use of tech, manpower and our naturalness.
We need to be in controlled and not let ourselves swamped by the seemingly goodwill these techs brings to avoid technology pandemic. It is our world not a tech world.
