On the 12th and 13th of December 2024, Top Dawg Entertainment will be hosting their 11th annual charity concert, celebrating the community. After a long year filled with hardships and challenges, the community of Compton will experience a day filled with performances by their favourite artists from Top Dawg Entertainment.

The charity event will take place at the Nickerson Gardens Public Housing Projects in Watts, where Grammy award-winning artist Jay Rock and label owner Anthony Tiffith grew up. Since its inception, Top Dawg Entertainment has been a pillar in the music industry. However, at Top Dawg Entertainment, they believe that their success is measured by what they can do for the community—a community that is one of the most marginalized and under-resourced in Los Angeles.

The two-day event is presented by TDE’s charity, Top Dawg Love the Kids, a 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in 2023. It has become an annual holiday tradition for Nickerson Gardens residents and members of surrounding LA communities. Over the years, the event has drawn 10,000–15,000 fans annually, all flocking to Watts to experience the holiday charity concert.

As the concert draws closer, the lineup has been announced. The concert will feature TDE artists (SZA, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Doechii, Isaiah Rashad, SiR, Ab-Soul, Ray Vaughn, Zacari, and Kal Banx) as well as special guest performances—all promising to make the day a memorable experience for everyone involved. Special guests who have performed before include Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Big Sean, and A$AP Ferg, to name a few. The public is encouraged to join the concert on the 12th of December by bringing unwrapped toys, new clothes/shoes, or other donations intended for residents of Nickerson Gardens.

The following day will be a Community Giveback Day, held on Friday, December 13th, 2024. It will include a toy giveaway, raffles, youth sports programming, barbering services, and a family holiday photo opportunity, along with other festive activities—all complimentary to the community. One of the most exciting elements of the day is a job fair featuring organizations offering on-site employment opportunities. These organizations are aligned with creating re-entry pathways for ex-offenders who struggle to find work.

Since the label was founded in 2004, TDE has become a household name in America while breaking into international markets. In the world of R&B and hip-hop music, they have helped elevate the careers of many talented artists. Known for always pushing the envelope when it comes to sound, TDE has successfully influenced generations through its lyrical geniuses, timeless production, and iconic visuals. More than just another label, TDE has built a community around its artists and their listeners.

Through this, TDE has become a cultural force, shaping the minds of future generations.
