Bokamoso Bangeni is a South African record producer, songwriter, and label owner. More commonly known as StrictlyBk, she is gearing up to introduce a new alter ego to the world: Ma Ka Boi. StrictlyBk is known for her work in the genres of Hip-Hop, Amapiano, Afrobeats, Afrohouse, and, lastly, 3-step.

Ma Ka Boi represents a bolder approach and outlook on music, with a desire to be more experimental in the type of music she creates. Although StrictlyBk doesn’t hide the fact that they are the same person, it’s the music that separates the two personas. Visually, the facemask helps to distinguish between them.

The production, which can at times be seen as ambiguous, was designed to disrupt the mainstream sound of popular music. Fans can expect Ma Ka Boi to blend different genres with one goal in mind: to push the envelope. Traditional sounds and contemporary styles will be fused with a twist.

Long before Ma Ka Boi came to be, StrictlyBk's journey in the music industry began before 2016. However, things started to shift when her debut EP Ta Fego was released in 2016 under Sony Music Africa. As the daughter of a music producer and a gold-selling recording artist, it was almost predestined that she would follow in their footsteps into the music industry...

She was introduced to music at a very young age, and her breakthrough single "Know That" reached the top of YFM's Hip-Hop chart. This accomplishment started earning her recognition. Soon after, MTV Base Africa began to notice her rising stardom. As her fame grew, appearances on TRACE Africa, BET Africa, and performances at major events like Back to the City and Shimza's annual One Man Show became routine.

Fast forward a few years, and StrictlyBk is now a fully independent artist, ready to take control of her own artistry. Free from the constraints of major label influences, StrictlyBk is poised to make waves again in songwriting and production. Having worked with prominent artists such as SA Idols winner Paxton Fielies, Faith K, and Sizwe Alakine, there is no stopping her as she embarks on her journey as Ma Ka Boi.
