Leigh Audrey has taken the entertainment world by storm. The multi-talented artist has made her mark in music and TV, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she meets. Now, as she prepares to take the next step in her music journey, Leigh is announcing her debut EP, Summer Rain, set for release everywhere on November 1, 2024.
So far, Leigh has had a very busy 2024 with two singles and two music videos. She is finally ready to share her latest offering with the world and her FamiLeigh, ahead of her highly anticipated debut EP.
Born Lethabo Mofomme, Leigh Audrey is an alumna of the University of Pretoria Youth Choir and the New York Film Academy's Professional Conservatory of Musical Theater—something she is very proud of. In 2016, she had the opportunity to narrate Naledi: An African Journey, which was performed in both South Africa and France. During her two years in New York, she performed, trained, and worked in multiple productions, which deepened her love for theater and Broadway.
One of her highlights so far has been winning the Rising Star Competition, where she competed against the top five female musical theater students in Manhattan. Since returning to South Africa, Leigh has become a performing artist and choreographer. Always eager to support others, Leigh offers her services as a pop, R&B, and soul artist for events like markets, festivals, private functions, and corporate events. As a choreographer, she teaches dance workshops for various occasions, from corporate shows to group dance events.
In September, Leigh Audrey released Fall For You, which received widespread praise as she candidly shared her experience of losing a relationship. Completely honest and relatable, Leigh poured her heart into the record, capturing emotions of confusion, hopelessness, and frustration in one song. “So many ways I could have shown you love // Then again // So many days you could have just showed up,” she sings. The song’s instrumental pays homage to her South African heritage, a badge she wears with pride wherever she goes.
