Gunna made his long-awaited appearance at the Heineken House in Johannesburg. The show itself was packed with many of his die-hard South African fans, who were more than happy to sing along as they got to hear Gunna in person.
Personally known as Sergio Kitchens (Gunna) performed hits like "Fukumean" and "Pushin P." Although the fans were there to see Gunna, as the night progressed it turned into a celebration of music, culture, and connection.
Heineken House is shaping up to be a cultural landmark within 2025. Their mission as a team is to create a space where music, creativity, and connections can be made. At the beginning of their journey, Heineken House was designed to celebrate music, arts, and fashion coming together. With Gunna headlining the event, there were some of South Africa's budding artists on the lineup as well. Performances included Young Stunna, DBN Gogo, Morda, Maglera Doe Boy, Dee Koala, and 25K—making it an unforgettable night of music.
After a memorable show, Gunna was honored by Warner Music Africa with a commemorative plaque for his success within the South African market. The plaque was presented by Ayanda Mnguni, who is the Senior Marketing Manager at Warner Music Africa.
After his somewhat controversial "rap beef" with fellow American rapper Young Thug, he has managed to become more popular, with his sales in South Africa particularly standing out. The Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA) certifications presented to Gunna included the following: Platinum Album for WUNNA; Double Platinum Single for "Fukumean," Platinum Single for "Pushin P," and various Gold Singles.
These awards in South Africa have been a testament to Gunna's hard work after his legal situation and maintaining a hold on his music career while others have failed before him.
