I headed for the door immediately I arrived at her house, and when I entered the sitting room, no one was around.
"She must be upstairs," I said, and walked towards her room.
"Who is here?, Charity, please open the door"
"Who are you and how did you get in here?" Charity, a little girl about six years old, asked, as she opened the door for me.
"You will find out later, dear. For now, I have only a little time to deliver my message to you." I said to her,
"What nonsense message? You invade someone's house, and you say you want to deliver a message. I could call the security for you; now leave before I do the call", She roared in anger.
"Please don't do that, I came in peace and I won't harm you."
"Then who are you? I don't remember knowing you from anywhere", she pestered me.
"I know you don't know me, but I know you. I am you, and you are me," I said and sat down on the bed.
"Since when did the post offices start hiring crazy employees? Please use your time for something important. It's so unprofessional of you to turn your working hours into play time" she said and made for the door. Opening it widely, she said to me, "Keep the letter on the table and leave."
"Charity, I am not here to play. You have to listen to me, please. I am the future you. Fourteen years from now, you will become me."
"Is that real? My future self? How is it possible?" She wanted to know.
"Nothing is impossible, especially for your maker."
I gave her the letter, and explained some essential things to her. She then insisted that I must stay until she finished reading the note.
"I have to go for time's sake, and If I don't leave now, things might change," I said.
She pleaded further and finally, I agreed to stay until she was through with the written content.
In the letter, I was telling her to:
📌. Become self-conscious: you can do anything you set your mind to if only you know who you are. Discover yourself and your capability, and above all, believe that you can do it.
📌. Be mindful of yourself: Don't let other people's opinions trend in your life. The opinion you have about yourself is what matters the most, not what people say.
📌. Learn a skill: Don't say that you are too young to learn a skill. Begin now to invest in yourself. Use your God's given skills to impact others positively.
…
Charity almost cried after reading the letter. She was so happy to hear those words of Inspiration.
"I am grateful for this; thank you so much," she said to me, but was shocked to see that I had left. She was so engrossed in the letter that she didn't notice my absence.
