Okay! So this is officially my first post.
I wrote this post at work, right after lunch, when I was supposed to be
doing the work that pays me. So I handle creative projects at work and I wrote this post while planning
the first creative networking mixer in Southern Africa.
Here's what I learnt while planning the event.
What not to do: Event hosting for beginners
- You can do everything. Don’t delegate: You will see maximum shege!
- Them no dey tell someone to delegate. Just assign roles and follow up or else you will be extremely stressed and will eventually find that you wasted all this time without doing the most
- Communicate: Updated- Over communicate and that’s it.
- Know your team members: I feel like this helps with assigning work and managing your time. If you know a team member tends to waste time, you probably don’t want to assign them time conscious tasks.
