Just like that, nawa oo...
I don't even remember any argument that we got into that might have provoked him to leave me and behave like I don't exist. Anyhow sha, he is living his best life and so am I.
We met in the university. He was a nice senior, just a class ahead of me, I was a freshman.
He helped making my first time in the university special and comfortable, that's why I stuck to him like glue.
Soon, a year passed and we laughed at how easy it was for us to stay friends even when we were told countless times how opposite genders can't be platonic friends, we prove them wrong and grew to be one year stronger.
About six months ago, he told me that he would be traveling back to his village for the burial of his uncle. I was sad that his family was going through a loss but he assured me that things would be okay and in a month or two he would be back before our exams started.
While he was gone, I continued with my life and daily doings and would always make sure to call and text him even when I am tired, I would make sure I sent him a text or put a call through.
Because I wanted him to be in track while he is still in the village, I would collect notes from his course mates and the one that's not in e-format, I will type it and send it to him. That's how much I cared about him as my friend.
He told me that he will be gone for three months or less and when a month and a week had passed, I noticed that he hardly ever return my calls when he missed it neither does he reply my texts. I wondered what the issue was and would ask what the issue was, which he replied 'nothing' to... that's when he finds the time to.
I was worried about him and would stay up at night praying to GOD to help him and protect him then give him and his family the strength to bear their loss. I was thinking it was this loss that was making him not to text too much so I took it easy on him but kept checking up on him, whether he replied or not.
When it was almost two months, he stopped texting back and it got me worried, I was so worried that I went to ask his course mates but they would say they haven't heard from him and some of them would ignore me. It got me really worked up oo but I was just worried about how he was faring that's why.
I continued checking up on him, even when I will not get a reply, so after four months, the school was in disarray and the cause was coming from the school parking lot.
Most of the students and lecturers who cared went to check what was causing the noise.
When I got there I couldn't believe my eyes, Damola came out of a really expensive car, with a few ladies flocking around him. It sound so good to be true but that's what my eyes saw. I was shocked that after he disappeared for that long without bothering to answer my calls or reply my text, he came back... but in style.
I knew Damola to not be this buoyant but I was glad that he stepped up and was now a big man, so as per say I be him friend I con walk to him to greet him and guys, if you see the way Damola use eyes throw me for gutter, omo, e pain me that day.
E con be like say I wan beg him for money, my guy snub me that day and never even paid any attention to me since then.
Till this date, I no know why he do me like that, why he cut me off like that but I just happy say e dey do well. Me sef dey do wella too.
