Let's learn how to eat balanced diets daily
1. Get a 9-inch plate: Get a 9-inch plate and divide it into 4 parts
2. Fill half of your plate with fruits and vegetables: There is no balanced diet without fruits and veggies. To boost your immunity, Include varieties of them on your plate.
3. Fill ¼ of your plate with starchy foods: Starchy foods are important for you to get the energy you need for the day job. It could be rice, bread, potatoes, yam, etc
4. Fill ¼ of your plate with a good protein source: You need protein for your body cells to function properly. Choose varieties of proteins like meat, fish, poultry, legumes, nuts, and seed
5. Have a glass of dairy: A cup of dairy will provide your body with the essential nutrients it needs to function. It could be cow milk, yogurt, or fortified soy milk
6. Take water: Drinking water is also important for proper digestion and overall health
7. Talk to a nutritionist: A nutritionist can help you plan a healthy meal within your budget and food preferences. Note: You don't have to eat all the five food groups in a sitting. My plate is to give a picture of how much you should eat from each food group
