Dr. Angela Tabiri, an amazing mathematician from Ghana who holds a PhD in Mathematics. She's the founder of Femafricmaths, a group that encourages female African mathematicians.
Angela earned her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Ghana, a diploma in Mathematics from the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, and a Master's degree in Mathematical Sciences from the African Institute for Mathematical Science (AIMS). She completed her PhD in Mathematics from the University of Glasgow in June 2019.
Currently, Angela works as a Research Associate and Academic Manager at AIMS in Accra, Ghana. She researches quantum algebra and teaches postgraduate courses in Mathematics for Machine Learning and Linear Algebra.
Angela Tabiri serves as an inspiration, especially for young women and girls in Africa interested in pursuing careers in STEM fields. She advises them to dream big, believe in themselves, find supportive mentors, and take action to achieve their goals.
