After a long wait, the second season of the Netflix original first African reality television series, "Young, Famous & African", has been released.
The unscripted show, which trails the lives of top entertainers across the continent, premiered on Netflix in March 2022.
The show's original cast will return. They include Khanyi Mbau (South Africa), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Annie Macaulay-Idibia (Nigeria), 2Baba (Nigeria), Zari the Boss Lady (Uganda), Naked DJ (South Africa), Nadia Nakai, Swanky Jerry (Nigeria), Andile Ncube (South Africa), and Kayleigh Schwark (South Africa).
This season, they will be joined by:
- South African award-winning television presenter, and actress, Bonang Matheba.
- Ghanaian-American Afro-Dancehall musician, Fantana.
- Former Big Brother Africa contestant and TV producer, writer, and creative director, Luis Munana.
- Model and socialite, Sebabatso Mothibi
- Supermodel and actress, Rosette Ncwana.
“We selected a group of connected high-profile friends who are Pan African and building their brands in South Africa. Our casts come from West Africa, East Africa and South Africa,” Peace Hyde the show's co-creator and executive producer, mentioned in a statement. “Each cast member is relevant because of their profile and the work they have done in the media. Our selection criteria were mainly focused on the industry our casts occupied and also their interrelationships with each other.”
