On the 28th of April, all roads led to The Maradiva in the burgeoning city of Lagos to celebrate the launch of AMAKA’s ACTION! Issue starring “The Woman King” actor Sheila Atim.

In partnership with Access Bank, AMAKA welcomed guests to an evening featuring a selection of leading women in the Nigerian music industry.

The event began with electrifying sets from twin DJ duo Wanni x Handi and Dope Caesar. Formidable rapper SGaWD took to the stage to give renditions of her singles, "Rude", "Pop Shit", and "Intermission".

Guests were treated to an acoustic performance of FAVE's "Scatta Scatta" amongst other singles including her latest with Davido, "KANTE". To close out the performances of the night, Teni the Entertainer moved the crowd to her hit singles "Uyo Meyo", "FOR YOU", "Case", and more.

AMAKA utilised the event to introduce and reiterate its commitment to amplifying the voices of Pan-African women on the continent and beyond to its Nigerian audience.
