1) We won’t accept pitches unless you have an AMAKA account so please sign up if you haven’t already done
2) We won’t accept pitches that are longer than 200 words
3) Due to the high volume of pitches received, we are unable to accept any pitches after the deadline date and unfortunately can’t reply/give feedback individually to all pitches
Calling all Music Writers/Creators; we’re kicking off 2024 with a callout to invite you to write a story/feature for AMAKA’s Music content pillar. Please feel free to pitch your most creative, interesting, insightful and outside-the-box ideas. Some suggested ideas below:
(*) Is there an artist you really want to profile/analyse particularly how they have impacted you personally/your community? E.g. Maybe you went through a challenging time, and a particular song really helped you through it?
(*) A listicle with your selected “Ones-to-Watch for 2024” i.e. artists, albums, etc, being released this year. Why do you think the AMAKA community should know about them?
(*) Do you have access/able to interview your favourite artist, band, singer, etc, and can write up an exclusive Q&A?
(*) Maybe you’re an up-and-coming singer/songwriter or musician yourself, and want to share your lyrics and a video of yourself performing your song?
Please note the commissioned written story/feature will be published under AMAKA’s Editorial Channel
