We are so excited to announce our latest program to help grow the Pan African Creator Economy. Introducing the AMAKA Creator Grant "Portraits", brought to you in partnership with For Africans by Africans, better known as FABA  🚀

We're calling all creators, visual artists and budding photographers. You don’t need to be a professional photographer or have a high tech camera - we just want to spotlight real people in real life.

So what is the AMAKA Creator Grant? 

The AMAKA Creator Grant is a fund we have set up to reward our creators for doing what they do best… creating. It’s our way of spotlighting quality content and supporting our creators in their growth and journey. Talk about putting our money where our mouth is? We will be putting aside $12 000 this year for our Creator Grant. The grant will be dispersed on a monthly basis to the creator who best aligns with the theme of the month. 

How do I participate in the AMAKA Creator Grant? 

It's very simple, let's explain it to you in these four simple steps 

Step 1 : Make sure you have an AMAKA account. If you don't already have one, what are you waiting for, it's 100% FREE!

Step 2 : Join the "Portraits" theme of the month, by clicking here. 

Step 3 : Make your submission with a minimum of 5 images and a short blurb, maximum 500 words, telling the story of your image. Be sure to use the hashtags #AMAKACreatorGrant and #ForAfricansByAfricans 

Step 4 : Once you have submitted your work, share it far and wide with your community and ask them to vote for you. Only submissions in the top 10 will be considered for the Grand Prize 💰

Sounds easy enough right? That's not all, you can also check in everyday to see where you rank in the leaderboard, and like we said, we are with you every step of the way. We will be sending you emails regularly reminding you to share your content, but we will also remind you on where you are in the leaderboard. 

Once the campaign is finished, only those in the top 10 will be considered for the Grand Prize of $1000, and because we're with you every step of the way, we will also award two creators with $250 each. 

Here is how the prizing works: 

🏆 ️ The Grand Prize is $1000 and the winner will be selected by our internal judging committee. 

⭐️ Bonus prizes - 2x photographers in the top 3 will also win $250 each, based on their number of votes. 

Winners will be featured on social media - sharing their winning portrait and their profile. Weekly features.
